3% of MS Sherpa users were able to safely stop their medication altogether.

Another week, another impact update. This time, we're highlighting a solution regarding a disease that affects around 36,000 people in the Netherlands. Our portfolio company MS Sherpa is changing the way people with MS experience care, and the impact is measurable. 🙌
Living with MS means living with uncertainty. Neurologists typically see patients only a few times a year, leaving long periods in which symptoms can change without their clinician knowing. As a result, patients may remain on medication that is no longer effective or continue treatment they could safely stop.
MS Sherpa enables patients to monitor their condition more frequently between appointments. Through a clinician dashboard, neurologists receive continuous insights that support better, more personalised treatment decisions without having to wait for the next consultation.
In 2025, 3% of MS Sherpa users were able to safely stop their medication altogether. For someone living with MS, that is more than a statistic. It can be life changing.

Stopping MS medication is never a decision taken lightly. The fact that 3% of patients could do so safely, supported by better data and closer monitoring, demonstrates what smarter digital care can achieve.
This is exactly the kind of innovation we invest in: technology that helps people receive better care while making healthcare more sustainable.
MS Sherpa is one example of the impact our portfolio is creating. Our Impact in Progress 2025 report highlights the results of ten portfolio companies.
