Pharmi freed up the equivalent of 407 full-time pharmacists and saved €5.7 million in avoidable healthcare costs.

Three quarters of Dutch pharmacies are short-staffed, resulting in insufficient time for pharmacy personnel to explain medication guidance to patients. At the same time, many of the questions asked are relatively simple to answer. Inadequate guidance can lead to medication errors, avoidable GP visits, and avoidable hospitalisations. Our portfolio company Pharmi is on a mission to change this, and the impact is measurable. 🙌
Pharmi's MedicijnWijs app puts medication information directly in patients' hands, around the clock. Forgotten whether to take medication before of after a meal, or with milk or water? No need to wait for the pharmacy to open and call, while freeing up time for pharmacists to help other people.
In 2025, that freed up the equivalent of 407 full-time pharmacists and saved €5.7 million in avoidable healthcare costs.
These numbers confirm our conviction from day one: investing in the right digital health solutions not only generates financial returns, but also helps keep our healthcare system affordable and accessible. More importantly, behind every number is a person. ❤️
And Pharmi is not the only one in our portfolio making a difference. Our Impact in Progress 2025 report covers ten companies in full.
