Investment news! 💰 We are leading a US$2 million seed round in Clementine, the world's first AI hearing activation platform. 

Hearing loss affects 1.5 billion people, yet nearly 80% never seek treatment. Most wait more than eight years before they act. The barrier is not technology. It is stigma. 

Matthew, Clementine's AI hearing care agent, addresses this gap. He answers questions 24/7 without judgement and without a waiting list, educates users, overcomes emotional and practical barriers, and guides them toward care. In live clinics that means more bookings and less admin for staff. And for customers it means improved hearing. 

"Clementine combines deep domain expertise with a clear AI platform strategy that can scale globally," says Douwe Jippes. "We believe this approach will fundamentally change how people with hearing loss engage with hearing healthcare. And that is impact we like to help scale." 

The funding deepens the AI capabilities and expands partnerships with hearing clinics, optical retailers and healthcare organisations. Looking forward to working with Vince van de Weijer and the team.
